Amazon.com Product Description
The Well Spring pack is a lightweight hydration pack designed for short day trips. It comes equipped with a 2-liter Cyclone bladder, a high-tech hydration system made of taste-free polyurethane. It's been constructed with an opening that fits around the Cyclone bladder's easy-grip cap, so that bladder does not need to be removed for filling. Neoprene sides allow for easy bladder loading. Abundant reflective tape provides an added safety feature for nighttime use. Outdoor Products' packs are designed with comfort in mind. This model features a deluxe padded back with Outdoor Products' Air Way cooling system, which allows air to travel to hard-to-reach places, keeping the user cooler. It also sports adjustable elastic sternum straps for added comfort and flexibility. The Well Spring pack has a capacity of 220 cubic inches. It measures 17 x 7.5 inches, and weighs 1 pound, 2 ounces.

About Outdoor Products
Outdoor Products is a worldwide outdoor sporting goods manufacturer, established in 1973. Before that time, the Outdoor Products founders were busy retailing outdoor sporting goods in their Los Angeles-based department store, "The Famous Department Store". This retail establishment was noted for a wide array of merchandise and was the primary source for outdoor gear in Southern California during that time. The experience of buying and selling outdoor gear eventually led the Outdoor Products family to designing and manufacturing their own goods. Eventually, the new product line became the hottest-selling items in all their four floors of retail space. Outdoor Products no longer has their department stores but they still continue in their longtime retail commitment to customer satisfaction. This commitment is backed by an unrivaled lifetime guarantee and a desire to create the most innovative, quality designs at an unbeatable price for outdoor enthusiasts and novices alike.

5 out of 5 stars Great product   September 14, 2009

Great product especially for the price! Great zip pocket and pouch. Love the clip to hold the mouthpiece.

3 out of 5 stars Backup item for my son's Camelbak   September 11, 2009
W. Sowell (Colorado)
Needed a smaller hydration pack for my son to take on an Encampment, this pack did the trick just fine and worked well for him. However, we let a friend borrow it to take to her camp about 2 months ago, she chewed the mouthpiece as if it were a piece of gum or something. :-( Saw the damage when she returned it, figured no big deal, just get another mouthpiece at Walmart... HA. No such luck. A person has to buy whole new bladder for $10 bucks just to get a new mouthpiece. Suddenly not such a great purchase any more. Not sure if better to blame Walmart for not offering mouthpieces or Outdoor Products for not having them available, but just putting it out there.

4 out of 5 stars Great hydration pack for the pice, needs better straps   July 6, 2009

I got this pack for my 7 year old daughter for when we go on small hikes, and to be honest, to have her wear it around the house so that she will drink more water during the day.

All in all, an excellent pack at a great price. The only thing I find negative as compared to another pack I got my other daughter, is that the shoulder straps are not padded at all, they are like a mesh webbing, with folded nylong edges for stength. This means she has to wear a t-shirt if she wants to wear the pack, unlike my other daughter's pack where she can wear it with a bathing suit top when we are camping. Not a huge deal, and I see other packs don't have the padding either, and I would buy again for the price, but am going to have my wife or mother sew some padding onto the straps to make it comfortable.

I have not used this kind or product before and I am not using it what it is designed for. But it is working okay for me.

5 out of 5 stars Great Value   September 30, 2008

So far I have taken this on every ride since I got it. After a dozen or so uses, either the plastic taste is gone or I am just used to it. The 2 liters combined with a water bottle is plenty of water for me with enough left over in case something happens.
One trail, in a comedy or errors and to the amusement of my friends, I misjudged a log at medium speeds. I went over the handlebars and landed square on my back. It was the most comfortable fall I have ever had on a bike. Upon inspection, there was absolutely no damage to the hydra pack.
I just wished the pockets were a little bigger.
