2 out of 5 stars 2 and 1/2: sometimes good, sometimes bad   August 7, 2010

I bought two of these during the holidays last year, and have since used them 3 times for adults, no kids have been near them. They were on super sale and I think we got both for twenty bucks and planned to stack them for extra comfort. The first time, they were ok, they did need extra air added every day, but they stayed inflated. The same went for the 2nd time they were used.

The third time didn't go so well. One of the mattresses completely deflated(with no one on it) within 2 hours. For the price, I'm not really mad, but I was disappointed. They are comfortable, but they require maintenance to keep them properly inflated during use, which is a pain in the neck. If I had to buy air mattresses again, I probably would avoid this brand.

5 out of 5 stars Air mattress   July 23, 2010

i saw that review that said it didnt hold air, and was really worried about getting it, but because of the price i took the risk and got it, and im happy i did. i used an air compressor to fill it up since it doesnt come with a pump and is just a huge hole where u fill it up lol little annoyed about that but was a quick fix. I needed something to sleep on in my new house, the mattress has held up since a week from yesterday its maintained a nice cushy level, after being slept on a few times.

point being, its a decent mattress, its comfortable, the material is very soft, has held up, lost SOME air, but a reasonable amount since the time i filled it

i still give it 5/5

1 out of 5 stars Did not hold air overnight   May 3, 2010

Blew up this air mattress for the first time, and within 4 hours of nobody being on it, the mattress required more air. Another fill up in the middle of the night, and it was flat again my morning.

4 out of 5 stars Vertical beam build seems to be the most stable.   March 26, 2010

As one reviewer wrote, if you put 3" of foam padding on this mattress you can have a mattress that exceptionally comfortable. I have tried at least 4 air mattresses in the last 2 months and I found only this kind with the vertical beams are stable, comfortable and motionless like a coil mattress. And provide the firm comfort and stability that I need. I am guessing this mattress is just the same as the Intex that come with a pump and another comes with so called camping pillows. I had a similar build air mattress I bought from a store with the verical baffles close together and it lasted me 18 months before finally losing a seam. If this works well and continues to hold air well I will order at least one more to store away.
