Product Description Colman Indoor Tent Light Magnet Secures Light Without Harming Tent Material Multi Mountable, Use For Tent, Closet, Shed, Etc Powerful Xenon Bulb Easy On/Off Switch Operates On 4 "AA" Cell Batteries
Amazon.com Product Description A great addition to any camping trip, the Coleman tent light will keep your tent illuminated during the evening hours. The light attaches to your tent poles easily and securely via the built-in magnet, so you needn't worry about damaging your tent fabric. The light's powerful, replaceable Krypton bulb, meanwhile, offers plenty of light for reading, playing games, or chatting. Best of all, the light--which operates on four AA batteries (sold separately)--won't get in your way while you sleep or hang out, unlike standard lanterns. Made in China, the light includes an easy on/off switch. About Coleman The Coleman Company has been creating and innovating products for recreational outdoor use since W.C. Coleman started selling gasoline-powered lanterns in 1900. Inventor of the hugely popular fold-up camp stove, Coleman developed a plastic liner for his galvanized steel coolers in 1957--the birth of the modern cooler--and the company has been improving their utility and design ever since. The array of products that bear the Coleman name now includes just about everything you might need to work or play outdoors, from tents and sleeping bags to boats, backpacks, and furniture.

Camp light July 27, 2010 wamz Its a pretty decent light. It would be nice if it was a little brighter though. I need to purchase maybe 2 more.. I do like how it can attach to the tent, and not have to carry it around.. very cool feature there. Just not as bright as id like.
Great tent light. June 12, 2010 Romantic heart (Greenville, RI USA) This light is perfect when camping. The metal part would have to go on the outside of the tent on top, hooks by magnet. Gives the right amount of light just to change or even read in the tent. I've had my light for quite some yrs and still works great. Takes 4AA batteries and will last. Would never go campin without this light.
Coleman Tent Light June 12, 2010 Valerie J. Wilson Light not real bright.More like a nite light. Used this as a backup light for a first aid cabin tent. Liked being able to move it to areas needed for direct light.. Ready to have available for hurricanes.
Would recommend Coleman suggest that those with pacers/ICDs take warning. Large magnet component.
handy little tent light June 10, 2010 K. Markley (church, United States) great light. Magnets allow you to have it hanging from the top/ceiling of your tent if you want. small, compact, yet plenty bright enough for my small 2 man tent.
Ten years old and still going strong... May 12, 2010 Stacy Trost Lewis (Florida) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We have been using this light for close to ten years now. Using it only for car camping anyway, since it is a bit too heavy for backpacking - we like to travel light. It is not showing any signs of wear so far. It is not an extremely bright light, but it is not dim. It is plenty bright to use for general night time tent stuff, like setting up your bedding, getting the kids settled in, etc. Because it is not a modern type of LED light the batteries don't last as long, but when we bought this there were no LED lights available.
The older technology is the only reason I am giving it 4 stars. When we purchased this light there was really nothing else on the market similar to it and the magnet fastener was a great new idea. So now, if we were to be looking for a tent light, we would look at some of the newer, brighter, more efficient LED type tent lights. The only drawback to those is that they tend to project most of their light in a straight line, i.e. they don't diffuse the light well. This Coleman light does diffuse very well; it spreads fairly equal lighting all around itself making a very pleasant environment. Would we buy it again? Maybe, but the LED tent lights are probably a better deal.
